Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 August 2026. Plain English, no legalese we don't mean.
Who we are
Roey Digital is a UK web design studio run by Rohail Shabir. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are over it. If anything here is unclear, email roeydigitaluk@gmail.com and ask.
What we collect
When you use the contact form to request a free draft, we collect whatever you enter: your name, business name, email, phone number, business type, links to your existing website or social media, any domain name idea you give us, the services you offer, the area you cover, your goal for the site, and anything else you write in the message field. We only collect what the form asks for - nothing is gathered silently in the background.
How we use it
Solely to build your free draft and get back to you about it. We don't use your details for anything else, and we don't sell, rent or share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
Who your data passes through
This site is hosted on Netlify, who process the form submission to deliver it to us. Form submissions are routed through our email service (Web3Forms) to reach our inbox, with WhatsApp as a fallback if that ever fails. If you choose to message us on WhatsApp yourself, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's (Meta's) own privacy policy, not this one.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how many people visit and which pages they look at - things like page views, roughly how long someone stays, and general location (country/city level, not precise). Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We don't use this data to identify you personally, and we don't combine it with your contact form details.
Google Analytics only runs if you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit - it does not load beforehand. Choosing "Necessary only" keeps it switched off entirely, and nothing else on the site sets any cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for roeydigital.co.uk, which brings the banner back.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's browser opt-out add-on. See Google's own Privacy Policy for how they handle this data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as is reasonably needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, to deliver and support your site. If nothing comes of an enquiry, we won't keep your details indefinitely - ask us to delete them at any time and we will.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide your data to you in a portable format. Email roeydigitaluk@gmail.com for any of these. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new "last updated" date at the top.
